Since 1879, people of Italian Descent settled in an area of Cleveland's east side known as Little Italy. For many generations, the heart of Little Italy's religious tradition, as well as the Italian-American community, has been Holy Rosary Church. The preeminent celebration of Holy Rosary is the Feast of the Assumption on August 15th in honor of the assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into heaven.
