Hello there! Thank you for stopping by!

     The camera is my passport to the world; It brings richness to my life. As I go forth and explore with curiosity, I seek to connect, and understand the people and places I visit. By being present and slowing down, I create authentic photographs that bring out the true personality in a person or the uniqueness of a place. This is how I tell a story in my own creative way and capture it within the frame.

A Bit of Gratitude

Photography is my passion and my connection to the world. I can honest say it’s what brought me out of my shell to live and breathe in the world. I feel fortunate to do what I do. Whether it be creating an engaging portrait of a surgeon in the OR, making energetic lifestyle images with students, capturing the raw intensity of the music scene I love, collaborating with LED Flo artists with a slow camera and a fast strobe, or pointing my camera down a 2,400 mile long highway with a child’s eyes in a world of amazement, I feel blessed to be able to live and expand upon my dream. So I would like to express my gratitude. To all the folks who have given me opportunities, believed in me, stood in front of my camera, pushed me, kindly smiled, granted me access, encouraged me, danced in front of my lens, talked shop, spent time looking at my images, said a positive word, told me your story, been my friend, pushed me further, purchased my art, fixed me a meal, or photo-bombed my shot (Haha!) – THANK YOU! You all know who you are; in fact, if you are reading this, it’s probably you! If it is not, but you’ve spent your time reading this note, we may have the same philosophy – we should meet! Hats off to all of you! Life is a journey, the road is the destination, the people make the difference in the ride!

“I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued;

when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.” ~ Brené Brown

     In the roots of my hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, you will find me on assignment for magazines telling visually engaging stories about places, capturing unique personalities, and teaming up with businesses and institutions to strengthen their marketing efforts. I also work with individuals to elevate their stories through headshots, environmental portraits, and personal branding.

One of my true passions is photographing Americana and Route 66. This interest was ignited when I took an unforgettable road trip on Route 66 back in 2004 just after completing my formal photography education. Since that defining trip, I’ve been working with ‘mom and pop’ businesses to tell their stories and promote them. I regularly work on assignment for tourism and visitors bureaus to showcase Route 66 communities, and alongside leading non-profits, including the Road Ahead Partnership, to highlight Route 66 and bring it back to its deserved glory. I’ve also been a part of ROUTE magazine since its inception over 3 years ago and have since graduated to Director of Photography and Lead Editorial Photographer of the publication. Back home in Cleveland, I’ve shown my Route 66 art in my own gallery and local museums to folks that wonder about Route 66, piquing their interest and growing a larger audience for the road. My journey is more than I could have ever fathomed and I’m so very grateful for it.

When I’m not behind the lens, I love spending my time road-tripping, hiking, camping, working on home improvement projects, grooving to live music, sitting around a fire with friends sharing stories, and savoring meaningful moments with my family, Shannon, Vivian, and Reed.

If I can help you tell your story, please get in touch!
